 I lived in Virginia Beach for over 11 years and one my favorite restaurants to eat at was Captain Georges Seafood Restaurant "From the boat to your plate" is their motto. I share this love with my family and friends.  Born and raised in York, Pa. I lived close enough for family and friends to take a week-end get-away to Virginia Beach, and one place they always insisted on eating was Captain Georges Restaurant.  This is the best seafood buffet I have every tasted. There are over 70 items to choose from. You can start with the salads which range from garden salads, Caesar salads, Shrimp, Tuna andCcrabmeat salads. They also have a variety of soups to go with your salads. Some of the soups are She-Crab Soup and New England Clam Chowder.  They are made fresh everyday.  After soups and salad it's time for the main entree.  Bring your appetite because this is a large selection. Everything looks so good you have to try it all!  Alaskan Snow Crab Legs, Steamed Shrimp, Soft-shell Crabs, Fresh Broiled Salmon, Seafood Casserole, Steamed Clams, Fried Oysters, Steamed Mussels, to name a few. The seafood is prepared steamed, fried, broiled or even raw; seasoned to fit everyone's liking. OK, so not everyone in the family is a seafood lover? They also have an inviting selection of additional entrees such as Prime Rib, BBQ Ribs, Chicken prepared several ways, and Manicotti. As if the entrees were not enough, you can also enjoy the side dishes.  Corn on the cob, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Steamed Rice, Green beans, Sautéed Mushrooms, Fresh Broccoli, Baby Potatoes, and Fresh Baked Bread. After trying to eat a taste of everything on the buffet, I always have to leave room for the desserts. One of my favorite is the cakes; Carrot Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, Black Forest, Boston Cream, and German Chocolate to name a few.  Don't let me forget the Baklava, it's to die for! There are also fresh baked cookies, Cobblers, Puddings, Flan, and Fresh Fruits.  Even if you don't like the buffet style eating, Captain Georges offers an A La Carte Menu, and a Children's menu. Still haven't had enough? You can get a take home menu to enjoy the great tasting food at home. I am a seafood lover and this is my top pick for Virginia Beach.  You can enjoy Captain Georges anywhere in the Tidewater area at their four convenient locations Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Hampton, and Myrtle Beach.

Cobalt Grille: This restaurant is aimed to present a warm and inviting dining experience. Elegance and sophistication is the setting, yet contemporary and "hip".  A "big city flair with a romantic edge" is their motto. They have an American Contemporary cuisine with a European flair. Their lunch menu consists of soups and salads that made fresh daily. Cobalt Caesar Stack, Fresh Mesclun Salad, Grilled Asparagus Salad, Cheese & Tomatoes, Atlantic Salmon Salad, Sesame Seared Sea Scallops to name a few. They also have sandwiches and wraps made to your liking. One of their specialties is the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Sandwich served with lettuce, tomato, and lemon tartar sauce.  BBQ Chicken Quesadilla, Fish and Chips, Grilled Balsamic & Port Marinated Portabellas, Crab & Ricotta Ravioli, Shepherds Pie and Vegetable Stir Fry are other lunch options offered here. Shrimp & Ravioli, Marinated Portabellas, Calamari are some of the great options for an appetizer.  Their main course consists of many options like BBQ Atlantic Salmon, Seared yellow Fin Tuna Filet, Maple Leaf Duck Breast, Berkshire Pork Roast, Stuffed Chicken Breast and Aged Hereford N.Y. Strip Steak. Make sure you leave room for dessert. They have a delicious variety of desserts to choose from starting with their Signature Six Part Cream Brulee Sampler - Chocolate, Orange, Berries, Almond, Lemon, Traditional, White Chocolate raisin Brioche Bread Pudding, Specialty Cheesecake and many more. Athens Pizza: A family restaurant specializing in Pizza, Gyros, Subs, Greek Salad and much more. They have lunch specials that consist of Mini Pizzas, Pita Pizza, Spaghetti, Baked Ziti and Lasagna. You can add a salad to your lunch as well. Experience the authentic appetizers like Dol-ma-da-kia, Spa-na-ko-pita, Feta Cheese and Greek Olives, Pita Bread with Tzatziki and more.
