Baltimore Ravens
Originating from Cleveland Ohio, manager Art Modell relocated the former
Browns team to Baltimore after a flurry of legal battles attempting to
keep the team in Ohio. Activated in 1996, the new team received it's name
through a fan contest drawing of 33,288 voters which choose "Ravens"
after Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" novel. Struggling from 1996
until 2000 with various changes to the team, the Ravens whose
hallmark was "great defense" finally won the NFL Super Bowl XXXV
