Children's Museum
This museum was
designed specifically with children in mind. Some of the
exhibits in the museum are the Splish! Splash! exhibit which is
a water exhibit and teaches the children about water
transportation, weather, and the earth's water system. There is
also an exhibit called Bridges To Our Community which is a mini
community so children can push their own shopping carts and play
in the bank with money. The Big Red Barn exhibit is for children
from ages 0-4 with hands on activities, slides, and much more.
Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame
This museum is
located right on the water and was designed by I.M. Pei. The
museum is know to house the best collection of rock and roll
memorabilia in the US. They have interactive exhibits as well as
archives, materials from songwriters, performers, producers, and
disc jockeys who were in the American musical genre. Some of the
most popular exhibits and attractions in the museum are rock
related films, Janis Joplin's Porsche, and handwritten lyrics by
Jimi Hendrix.
The USS
Cod
The USS Cod was
part of the many submarines that were employed by the Navy
during World War II. It was used for a Navy Reserve training
ship. Today it is a informational tour attraction led by sailors
who have served on submarines before. The tour will take you
down below in the submarine and up through hatchways and up
ladders as you get the feel for military life. This tour will
give visitors a look at American history. |
