  • Coral Castle    Coral Castle Miami
Is located a short distance from Miami in Homestead, FL and is a must see when you are visiting Miami.  Coral Castle is truly a unique work of art consisting of more than 1,100 tons of carved coral rock.  Coral Castle is also known as Rock Gate and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Coral Castle was built by Ed Leedskalnin with his own two hands using home made tools only...  It's hard to imagine a single individual spent more than thirty-years creating such a unique coral structure.  Ed Leedskalnin refused to let anyone watch him work in fact, there is speculation that the Coral Castle was constructed through the use of paranormal powers...  Sure makes a person wonder, the Coral Castle was completed during the 1950's.  Once you visit the Castle and see for yourself this amazing coral structure & gardens you  just can't grasp the wonders of Ed's engineering accomplishments  until you stand face to face with massive chunks of coral rock...  WOW !!! how amazing, you truly have to experience this for yourself to believe it.  Visitors can tour the Coral Gardens using the audio stands which are narrated in four different languages (English, Spanish, German and French).  There are knowledgeable guides available for guided tours.  Highlights of Coral Castle include; a nine-ton gate that moves easily with just a touch of the finger, functioning rocking chairs and even a Polaris telescope..  Ed's original, hand carved stone  sign still hangs where he placed it welcoming thousands of visitors from all around the world into his Castle.  Be prepared to be amazed when you visit Coral Castle Gardens, it's hard to believe a single person constructed something this large from the ground up using nothing but home made tools.  Especially with no known witnesses and no one knowing how Ed created the Coral Castle... Ed would work under the cover of night & in private and during a period of time with no modern construction conveniences.  Ed would always say he knew "the secrets of the Pyramids " and unfortunately when Ed passed away he took his secrets with him.  Come and experience this unusual accomplishment, the Coral Castle is open daily welcoming visitors from all around the world.  Don't miss the chance to see and explore one of South Florida's top attractions.
